👋 This Week in NOTL
Here’s what we’re covering:
Wish & Win at Niagara Motors – everyone plays, everyone wins something
Candlelight Stroll (Dec. 5) – presented by Niagara Motors, happening tonight
Virgil Christmas Tractor Parade (Dec. 11)
Niagara-on-the-Lake Christmas Parade (Dec. 13)
Let’s get into it, no more delay!

Wish & Win at Niagara Motors
Before we all bundle up and head into Old Town, December at Niagara Motors is already in full swing.
The dealership is taking part in GM’s national Wish & Win event – a holiday contest running December 2, 2025 through January 2, 2026.
Here’s the short version:
Everyone who enters gets a prize offer toward a new eligible GM vehicle
Prize vouchers range from $500 up to $25,000 toward the purchase or lease of a new vehicle (no cash value, conditions apply)
No purchase is necessary to enter, but you do need to be age of majority in Canada and follow the official contest rules

How it works at Niagara Motors:
You visit the dealership.
A staff member logs you into the Wish & Win contest experience.
You “reveal” your prize voucher (think digital snow globe / draw moment).
If you’re already thinking about upgrading, you can apply your voucher to an eligible new Buick or GMC before the program ends on January 2, 2026.
If you’re curious, it’s a pretty fun excuse to wander the showroom, say hi to the team, and see what you pull.
And speaking of Niagara Motors being out in the community…

Events
Tonight: Candlelight Stroll (Dec. 5)
The annual Niagara-on-the-Lake Candlelight Stroll is tonight – Friday, December 5, and Niagara Motors is the main community partner for the event!

What to know:
Time: 6:30–9:00 p.m.
Where: Gathering at the Courthouse in Old Town, then strolling through the Heritage District by candlelight.
Candle donations: A $5 donation gets you a candle and supports this year’s Candlelight Stroll recipient. While attendance is free, visitors are also encouraged to bring food donations for Newark Neighbours.
Ho Ho Passport: That same donation also unlocks a Ho Ho Passport with special offers at local businesses from Dec. 5–7th.
Parking: Free parking in the Heritage District for December, with a recommended lot at 51 Queen’s Parade and a shuttle running to the Courthouse.
If you’re going:
Arrive early if you can (parking and crowds build quickly).
Dress for standing still as much as walking.
Take a second in the middle of the crowd to actually look around — there aren’t many nights where most of town is wandering around together by candlelight.
And if you bump into anyone from the Niagara Motors team downtown, now you know why they’re so busy this month.

Next Week: Virgil Christmas Tractor Parade (Dec. 11)
Virgil’s big night is almost here.
The annual Tractor Parade – a beloved holiday tradition – will light up the streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake on Thursday, December 11, 2025, running from 6:00 p.m. to about 8:00 p.m.
The parade will begin and end at Meridian Credit Union and Centennial Arenas (1565 Four Mile Creek Road, Virgil), with tractors and farm equipment decked out in lights making their way through town.
Expect glowing tractors, bundled-up families, and that “only in NOTL” mix of farm country and Christmas. If you’re planning to go, aim to be parked and settled a little before 6:00 p.m. so you can just enjoy the show when the engines start rolling.

Santa in Old Town: NOTL Christmas Parade (Dec. 13)
Two days later, it’s Old Town’s turn.
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Christmas Parade happens Saturday, December 13, starting at 11:00 a.m. and rolling through late morning.
You can expect:
Marching bands and Christmas music
Community groups and local businesses in full festive mode
Kids waving, candy flying, and Santa closing things out
A downtown packed with neighbours, visitors, and lots of cameras
Our friends at Niagara Motors will also be making an appearance again this year. And if you remember last year, you’ll know there’s a decent chance you’ll spot a truck that looks suspiciously like it’s been fully wrapped in gift wrap.
If parades are your thing, treat it like brunch: get there early, grab a good viewing spot, and settle in to watch the town go by.

Before You Go…
December in NOTL is doing what it does best: giving you more special nights than you could possibly fit into one calendar. Whether you’re shaking a snow globe at Niagara Motors, walking by candlelight through Old Town, watching tractors glow their way through Virgil, or waving to Santa on Queen Street, we hope you find a moment that feels a little bit magic.
