🎶 Local Spotlight: Eponine’s New Single Hand Out the Window

From the stage to the studio, Eponine is making her mark here in Niagara-on-the-Lake. While she may be originally from Ottawa, she’s currently based right here in town as an ensemble member at the Shaw Festival, performing in productions like Wait Until Dark and the Shaw Troubadour concert series.

When she isn’t on stage, Eponine is busy creating music — composing, producing, and performing her own original songs. Her latest single, Hand Out the Window, blends pop, rock, and alternative vibes with inspiration from bands like boygenius, No Doubt, and The Cardigans. What started as a quirky project pitched for a commercial grew into a full-fledged track about the freedom of driving, the thrill of adventures, and the spirit of growing up.

🐾 Journey Fosters Niagara Bake Sale & Auction

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to treat yourself while giving back, here it is. Journey Fosters Niagara is hosting a Bake Sale & Silent Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, August 23, and it’s shaping up to be a delicious and meaningful community event.

• Where: Meridian Credit Union Arena, 1567 Four Mile Creek Rd, NOTL

🥕 Southbrook Farmers’ Market

Sundays in NOTL just got a whole lot better. From June through September, Southbrook Organic Vineyards turns into a lively farmers’ market, buzzing with fresh produce, local treats, and neighbours catching up over a glass of wine.

Picture this: you’re wandering through vineyard rows with a basket of just-picked veggies, a loaf of warm bread under your arm, and maybe a pastry (or two) that didn’t quite make it home. Local makers are on hand with everything from handmade crafts to pantry staples you didn’t know you needed, and the setting couldn’t be more perfect—sunshine, live chatter, and a vineyard backdrop.

It’s the kind of Sunday ritual that feels equal parts relaxing and energizing. Bring a friend, bring the kids, or just bring yourself—you’ll leave with full bags and good vibes.

🥂 Aperitivo by Rêvé – A Fresh Spot on Mary Street

Niagara-on-the-Lake has a brand-new gem, and we were lucky enough to be there from the very start. Aperitivo by Rêvé, the little sister to @experiencereve, officially opened its doors on Mary Street — and we’re proud to say we were their very first paying customers at the grand opening!

From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel right at home. The staff were warm, welcoming, and clearly excited to share their space with the community. The owners are just as amazing — passionate about bringing something fresh, stylish, and delicious to town.

Here’s what you’ll find inside:

• ☕️ Espresso that hits just right (trust us, we tested it)

• 🥐 Pastries and light bites that pair perfectly with a coffee break

• 🍹 Spritzes that make a weekday afternoon feel like a getaway
