We’ll admit it — we took this week’s partner spotlight for ourselves. A quick nod to NOTL News and the work that goes into keeping Niagara-on-the-Lake informed, connected, and proudly local week after week.

TODAY IN NOTL
🌦️ Weather
Mother Nature appears to be running a bit of an experiment this week. From Friday into early next week we’re looking at a little bit of everything — rain, snow, wind, and the occasional reminder that spring technically exists somewhere. In other words, a very classic Niagara-on-the-Lake forecast.

Formula One fans — the Chinese Grand Prix goes lights out this Sunday, and if the first race of the 2026 season was any indication, we might be in for a very entertaining year.
For the sake of fun (and public accountability), I’m putting my prediction out there this week. I’ve got George Russell taking the win, Charles Leclerc right behind him, and Kimi Antonelli rounding out the podium. Mercedes looks seriously strong so far this year, and Leclerc always seems ready to make things interesting.

We’ll see on Sunday if this prediction ages well… or very poorly. 🏁
Let me know your predictions by replying to this email — I’d love to see who everyone has on the podium this weekend.
Lets get into the news👇

The Great NOTL Coffee Question ☕
Niagara-on-the-Lake might be known for wine… but if you ask around town, coffee is quietly competing for the top spot. ☕
Over the past few months we’ve noticed just how passionate locals are about their cafés — from longtime favourites to brand new spots opening their doors around town. You may have seen the video we recently shared about one of NOTL’s newest cafés, and it turns out there are a few more coming to town in the next couple of months.
Because of that, we’re planning to update our NOTL café and coffee guide soon — and we’d love your help.
Take the poll below and tell us:
What is your favourite café in Niagara-on-the-Lake?
(It could be in Old Town, Virgil, St. Davids, Queenston — anywhere in the NOTL area.)

We’ll share the results in an upcoming issue when we cover ALL the cafes in town!

A Summer Job Opportunity with the Town
I had an interesting conversation with a friend the other day. They mentioned they had just applied for a summer position with the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake working as a seasonal parks labourer.
It caught my attention because I know how many parents — and students — are currently trying to figure out summer job plans.

The Town is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Labourer position in the Parks Division, helping with things like maintaining public parks, waste collection, and keeping public washrooms clean and well maintained. It’s a full-time seasonal role that runs roughly from April through November, with outdoor work and hands-on experience maintaining some of the spaces that make Niagara-on-the-Lake so special.
For students or young adults looking to spend the summer working outdoors and gaining some practical experience, it could be a great opportunity.
Applications close March 22, so if someone in your family is still looking for a summer role, it might be worth taking a look.
