🌧️ Weather

Last week's weather threw everything at us — rain, wind, thunderstorms, sunshine, and probably a few things we're forgetting. Mother Nature couldn't pick a lane. But the chaos is behind us now, and warmer, drier days are finally settling in. Here's what the next week looks like.

🥣 Is it soup?

Okay, let's settle this. Cereal has liquid. It has solid ingredients floating in it. You eat it with a spoon. By that logic, isn't cereal just... cold soup? Before you dismiss this entirely, consider: gazpacho is a cold soup, and nobody bats an eye. So what makes Frosted Flakes different? Is it the temperature? The sweetness? The fact that Tony the Tiger isn't a chef?

We need to know where you stand on this. Team Cereal-Is-Soup or Team Absolutely-Not? Email us your hot takes at [email protected] — bonus points if you can actually defend your position without laughing.

Lets get into the news👇

🧐 Did you know? Probably not since it’s a secret.

We’re probably not supposed to share this, but it felt too good to keep to ourselves.

Niagara Motors has a Private Sale running April 27 to 29, and it is being kept intentionally quiet. This one is staying off the usual radar, which means fewer crowds and more time to actually connect with the team.

Every purchase comes with a $500 gas card. Show up for a test drive and you are entered to win additional prizes, no strings attached.

They are also firing up the grill all three days with free smash burgers and sausages from open to close, which feels like a pretty great trade for stopping by.

The pace is different too. More relaxed, more personal, and a lot less noise than a typical sales event.

If upgrading your ride has been sitting in the back of your mind, this might be your window before word spreads.

🎨 The Pottery Trail Weekend is Upon Us!

If you are looking for something easy to step into this weekend, this is worth your time.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Pottery Trail is on April 18 and 19. Three local studios are opening their doors for a relaxed, come-and-go weekend of handmade pieces and artist meetups.

Stop in, take your time, and see what is being made right here in town.

🎸 Elvis is Coming to Niagara

If Elvis is more your speed this weekend, Niagara Falls is leaning all the way in.

The Niagara Falls Elvis Festival runs April 17 to 19 at the Greg Frewin Theatrical Centre, with a full lineup of tribute artists, live shows, and competitions throughout the weekend. World champion performers, full band backing, and more Elvis than you knew you needed.

👨‍🎨 Interested in something artsy?

If you are staying closer to town, there is something a little quieter worth stepping into.

Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre is currently hosting CIANALAS by Julie Forrester Clark, a collection of expressive landscape paintings inspired by Scotland’s coastlines and open spaces.

It runs through April 26, and there is also an Artist Playdate workshop happening this weekend if you feel like getting hands-on.

Thanks for reading today’s issue.

If you enjoyed it, pass it along to someone who always asks, “What’s going on in town?”
