Yes, we’re hogging the prime spot in our own newsletter today. No regrets.

We wanted a quick moment to say hey to our peeps and share what this space is all about: keeping things local, informative, and focused on what matters around Niagara-on-the-Lake, our home.

TODAY IN NOTL

❄️ Weather

Winter is reminding us who’s in charge. A snowy Friday is on deck with temperatures hovering around -2°C during the day and dipping into the -teens overnight. The weekend stays cold but brighter, with some sunshine mixed in and daytime highs around -12°C before a gradual warm-up early next week.

🚗 Heads up, NOTL

With snow in the forecast and colder mornings ahead, expect traffic to be a bit slower. It’s also a good time to double-check street parking and snow-clearing rules as plows make their rounds.

Lets get into the news👇

A Bit About What We Do

At its core, NOTL News is about paying attention. To the small wins, the new openings, the fundraisers, the events, the people quietly doing good work, and the stories that make Niagara-on-the-Lake feel like home.

Yes, we help businesses, charities, restaurants, and organizations share updates and reach the local community. But just as important to us is building something people actually want to read—something that connects neighbours, sparks conversations, and keeps us a little more in the loop.

Oh… and while you’re here go follow us on Instagram.

We love working with folks who care about this town as much as we do. If you’re interested in partnering with NOTL News, advertising, collaborating on a story, or finding creative ways to support what you’re building locally, let’s talk.

Haven’t You Heard?

If your brain currently has 47 tabs open, this one might be for you.

Haven Workspace is hosting its next community event on Thursday, February 12 at 5:30pm, and the focus is all about building a simple “Second Brain” using Notion—so your ideas, notes, and to-dos actually go somewhere useful. The session will be led by Haven member Trevor Twining and is designed to be practical, approachable, and easy to apply to real life.

After the learning portion, things head downstairs to Revé for open networking, conversation, and a complimentary glass of champagne for attendees (with snacks and drinks available for purchase).

“Haven Present’s” is a monthly series bringing together local professionals, creatives, remote and hybrid workers, and founders—all under one roof at Haven Workspace in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Stay tuned for future events…
